Which chat client should I use?

I'm thinking about hosting either a Ventrilo or TeamTalk server beginning next month. Which one is better? Also, which port is the best for accommodating both dial-up and broadband users? All of the rooms on my server will be full-duplex rooms so I need to figure this out.
